Fly-By:

A man, Baltasar, a low level employee from a ministry, has pretensions about how high man can fly. But still, without wings, he launched himself into empty space, calculating the angle of flight and riding on the rising currents. He tried, but failed on many occasions. He went on to infect many people with this species of passion as personal liberty. Moreover, little by little he did manage to elevate himself. The problems that create these forms of collective madness, reach the highest spheres of power. Those in charge of government also feel the temptation of flying, to control the force of gravity and emptiness. Some jump. And the consequences are disastrous. The situation of antagonism between the citizen and power, illusion and reality, leads to tragic revelation.

SYNOPSIS

Zuckerman, a disabled war veteran-turned-building labourer who operates a pneumatic drill, has a premonition that his son, who has been posted to the front lines, is going to die. When his son is killed, blown up by a mine, Zuckerman wages a bloody and systematic campaign of revenge on a series of representatives of the Establishment.

SYNOPSIS:

At the battlefront, in an apocalyptic setting of rampant epidemics with no apparent cause and large-scale destruction, a soldier, Lazarus Goldstein, blows up a communications pylon. He and his friend, Duff, engage in a confrontation with Bauer and Heinz, the two politicians who come to power at the end of the conflict. The consequences of this are unforeseeable.

SYNOPSIS:

Karl Jowialsky has condemned an innocent man to death. Letters addressed to the judge are found in the victim’s body, warning him of strange happenings. These premonitions come to pass. The boundaries between reality and fiction become blurred; personal identity dissolves. Individual experience is shattered. The notion of certainty bursts into thin air. Chaos ensues. And as it does so, a certain form of inner impassivity takes shape.

SYNOPSIS:

A group of people set off on a train journey to Kiu, each with an idea of the city they are heading for, formed on the basis of references. Having been subjected to strange pressures which were on the verge of destroying them, they think that this is their first day’s freedom. The events which take place on the journey make them realise that the real meaning of Kiu is quite different to what they had imagined. Nevertheless, freedom is possible. But the price is high.

Two families, the Kopers and the Hellmans, live beside each other in semi-detached houses. A member of one of the families has a hereditary, transmissible disease. But he doesn’t know it. Orquídeas y Panteras (1982)

SYNOPSIS:

When he finds out that he has cancer, Berto Leone asks his daughter, Tina, to look for her sister, Julia, who has abandoned home. The return of the sister to the household, the father’s death in tragic circumstances, and his particular wish that the estate should not to be divided up, triggers a brutal clash between the two sisters. Toni, Tina’s husband, former lover of Julia, dramatically and irreversibly upsets the balance of the combat between the two. His death forces the situation up a dead end street.
